Volunteers are always needed and we would welcome your help no matter how small or large the contribution.

Currently we are looking for volunteers to assist with the following:

• Team Parent - this is a parent who assists the coach by helping with information to your team and any collections from the team (pictures, NE Riptide Event, etc.).  A team parent might also work with some of the other parents to bring a treat (drink, fruit, etc.) to the team on a special occasion (although this is not required)

• Coaches are always needed - both assistant and regular coaches.  This is for the regular recreational season as well as the tournament season.  Even if you can only help sometimes, let you coach know.  It's how many of the coaches got started! 

• If you are interested in helping with the Coaching staff of the tournament teams, please email tournament@myasoftball.com or director@myasoftball.com - these teams come together in March for play as soon as Memorial Day weekend in some cases.

• Assisting at Tournaments - each year Merrimack hosts two tournaments of many teams from around the state.  These events are always fun and a great experience for the players but they are also an important source of funds to help the program keep the general registrations as low as possible. These tournaments happen in the summer but the planning starts pretty soon.  If you have time and interest in helping, we can use your help!  From concessions to field preparation to event registration to even announcing a game - if you have some time, we would love your help.

• Softball Board Positions - Our meetings and our board are always open and are driven by volunteers like you.  All board positions are one year in length and are open every year.  We elect these positions in Sept and Oct meetings. If you are interested in any of the board positions, please let us know.  The easiest way to get involved is to come to the meetings and help in some small way.  Then you could transition into a board position in the following year without any difficulty.  The Softball Board works because we all do our small part and the result is a smooth operation wthout anyone feeling like they have "too much to do".  We hope you will consider a Board Position.
