Overview of the 2008 MYA Softball Program Registration !!  

#1: Changes to the Age Requirements:

In 2008 Merrimack will be in line with the standard Babe Ruth Softball age limits.  This will greatly simplify the process of determining what league you (or your daughter) qualifies for.  In brief, your age as of Dec 31 will determine your "playing age" for the coming year.  Tournament Teams are already selected this way and the board believes that this will simplify registration for our parents. We have created a "Birth Chart" to show the playing ages by birth year.

#2: Changes in the registration form:

The Registration form has been modified to simplify the information requested, eliminate unnecessary information, and combine the MYA Exec and Softball parental consent language.  This year's regsistration form can be found here:

Our "in-Person" registrations will be held at the MYA Building on Friday February 8th (5:30-9PM), February 9th (8AM-12 noon), then again on March 14th (5:30-9pm) and Saturday March 15th (9am-12noon)

#3: We continue to grow our Registration Online!

This will add to the ways that registration can be accomplished and should add an important tool to busy parents who would like to get registered but can't get to the MYA building for the registration dates.  Note: there is a 5% ($2.50) processing fee to cover the processing charges of online registration. 

In 2008 we will continue "in-person" registrations at the MYA building and will run online registration at the same time.  We continue to try to find the best way to serve the softball families but we hope that this addition will improve our registration process.
